This Laboratory at the Griffith University Nathan Campus had on-going issues with concrete spalling. As the lab was a negatively pressurised controlled environment, this meant that we could not breach the external wall, so all repairs had to be staged to maintain containment. Investigations were also carried out to determine the source of the water ingress and additional waterproofing was carried out to minimise the risk of future spalling and ensure trouble-free ongoing operation of the research laboratory. External access was via a free-standing scaffold.
