UniLodge South Bank – Cladding Replacement

Following a Building Fire Safety Risk Assessment at UniLodge South Bank, it was determined that existing Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP) on the building were deemed to be combustible and posed a risk. Mend Building replaced the combustible cladding with non-combustible solid aluminium panels. Access was via Elevated Work Platform (EWP) located on the footpath. Upon removal of the existing panels, it was found that the existing sub-frame was non-compliant, along with other non-conforming issues that had to be rectified, prior to the installation of the new panels. All works were undertaken while the building was occupied; therefore, stringent safety procedures were put in place to ensure the safety of staff, occupants and visitors at all times.
